Understanding the multi-generational workforce

 

gen-z

Generation Z are individuals born between 1997 and 2010.

Gen Z is the generation of digital natives. They find it more comfortable to communicate online, as opposed to face-to-face contact. 

 

gen-y

Millennials are individuals born between 1980 and 1996. 

This generation is understood as confident and achievement oriented. With high expectations of their employers, they seek new challenges at work and are not unafraid to question authority.

 

gen-x

Generation X are individuals born between 1965 and 1979. 

This generation has grown in an era of freedom and self-sufficiency. Gen Xers are described as independent, resourceful and creative. This generation shows the most amount of variation, being early adopters of technology.

 

baby-boomer

Baby Boomers are individuals born between 1946 and 1964. 

Growing up in an age of reform, they benefited from increased educational and financial opportunities. Boomers are described as confident, self-reliant and goal-oriented.
